Introduction to the Humanities
This course explores the world’s artistic endeavors and their relationships with the context in which they were created. Students gain an appreciation for the variety of human expression and develop an understanding for the elements that contribute to an artist’s world view. This survey course is not intended to be comprehensive, but a broad framework for examining visual art, sculpture, architecture, music, theatre, dance and literary art and exploring major creative, social and political movements.
