Diversity and Criminal Justice

This undergraduate course explores the complex relationship between diversity and the criminal justice system, focusing on how race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, and other forms of diversity impact crime, victimization, and justice processes. Students will examine disparities in the criminal justice system, the role of cultural competence, and strategies for promoting equity and inclusion within law enforcement, courts, and corrections.
