UPDATE – Great news for students needing assistance with the rising cost of higher education: DSU and IIEI are on track to offer Guaranteed Students Loan—Title IV Federal Financial Aid to students who qualify as early as January 2010 for the Second Semester of 2009 – 2010 academic year.

We are in the final leg of the approval process with the Department of Education, after two plus years of bureaucratic red-tape. We appreciate your patience as we work towards the end result. For eligible students entering or continuing in any of our bachelor degree programs, this approval will make two major types of aid available: Pell Grants, and Stafford/PLUS Loans. All will be need-based, and will require students to complete the requisite application in the form of the FAFSA. Once we are approved, you will see our name available in the online FAFSA application.

Students interested in receiving aid from these programs should keep watching GlobalWatch (R) for information on how to navigate the process. You can also speak with an Advisor at (800) 474-8013.

Does DSU’s online program format appeal to you, but you’re just not sure if you want to focus on international trade management? Would a broader business degree be a better fit with your professional goals? If so, you may wish to look into the general management degree.

This bachelor’s degree in management builds the skills of a successful management professional: an understanding of the components of business, from communication, culture and business writing, to finance, accounting and economics, to human resources, information systems and business law. Graduates emerge with a strong foundation for graduate work or the day-to-day requirements of the business world. Classes balance theory and practical application of the material, encouraging students to apply the concepts directly to their current positions.

Talk to an enrollment advisor today to discuss the path to an undergraduate degree in management.
