Introduction to Public Health

Course Description:

This six-week course introduces the topic of public health. It examines the history of public health and the modern public health care system. It explores the analytical tools and methods used within the discipline as they relate to social and behavioral sciences and health. The essential functions of public health are reviewed as they correspond to public policy and the disparities within the U.S. health care system are examined.
